OK so many of you have heard by now that Heather and I have sold our house. Well…it’s true. Our closing date is April 9th so if all goes well we will be out of here by spring break. We have mixed emotions about the whole thing. Yes we are excited to get going but we will most definitely miss all of you! (‘You’ are all of our LC folks and Florida loved ones). But when God decides to move He moves!

Heather and I had just lowered the price on the house last weekend which ended up generating some showings. At this point we were willing to be competitive with the rest of the neighborhood even though we knew our home had a lot more to offer. It was also a point of having faith in that God would be our supplier of needs not our own hands by financial means.

Dianna, (our realtor which if you are looking for one she is great) came to us last Tuesday and we had two separate, pre-qualified, really good offers on the table. They were actually in a bidding war over our house. We got 2k under what we were asking for. That is unheard of in this market!

Here’s why I think it happened. First, we got off our pride and were willing to lower the price, even though we thought it was worth more. Then we consigned ourselves not even to worry about what we were going to get for the house believing that God was going to take care of us. And lastly, because in my prayer journal I had been praying that these proceedings would end favorably for His name sake as in, “God please show yourself in all of this.” Oh yeah, I also do not want to forget the prayers of our friends. Bottom line…God was going to act in His time and when He is ready He does great things!
